Voter Registration Drives
The voter registration circulators continue to be busy registering voters at the local food banks in Fort Collins and Loveland. Since April we’ve registered 62 people just at those sites. The people are very appreciative of our coming one or two times a month. We have held 30 registration drives since the beginning of the year registering 327 citizens.
On Saturday, August 26 voter registration circulators will be at a League booth for Women’s Equality at the Larimer County Farmer’s Market. In September and October we will be going again into most of the Poudre and Thompson District high schools to register seniors. You’ll also find us registering voters on Constitution Day, September 17 and National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 26.
Choose the days and times that work with your schedule. August dates are listed here.
- Saturday, August 26, 8-12:00 – Fort Collins (downtown) Farmer’s Market
- Monday, August 28, 12-3:00 – Larimer County Food Bank (Fort Collins)
- Tuesday, August 29, 9-1:00 – Loveland Food Bank

With three upcoming candidate forums planned, League volunteers will be in high demand to serve as question-sorters, ushers and moderators. We’re glad to train any new moderators and question-sorters one-on-one or in small groups. Contact Karen Wagner at 970-227-7437 or email@example.com if interested in either type of training.
The candidate forums for the Thompson and Poudre Boards of Education and the Loveland City Council will take place in mid-September to mid-October. The exact dates will be set after the candidates’ filing deadline of September 1.
All the candidate forums will be televised and rebroadcast to reach the greatest number of voters.
