  1. Hi, I was at a recent LWV Larimer Co meeting and they said there is a Civics 101 meeting on Monday Apr 23 at the Old Town Library, 5PM. Is that correct? I can’t find any info on it here and wonder if it is really at 1:30 instead. Thanks, Pat Burger 512-970-5289

    1. Hi Pat! New Civics Series

The remaining programs are listed below. The event on the 23rd is at 5:30.

Part 2 – The US Constitution – April 23, 5:30 -7:30 at Old Town Library. Our Constitution is the framework on which our government and society are built. As voters, we need to understand that framework, in order to understand how our elected representatives function on our behalf. We’ll study the constitutional do’s and don’ts for the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches to enable us to evaluate their work. Presented by Rabbi Hillel Katzir.

Part 3 – The Bill of Rights – May 3, 5:30-7:30 at Old Town Library. We hear all the time about our rights as citizens, but do we really know what those rights are? This session will look at the protections that the first 10 amendments give us; how some of these rights have been threatened, and how we as voters can protect them and ourselves. Presented by Rabbi Hillel Katzir
